I am thinking of buying a wideband and I was wondering how or is it possible to install in place of the stock rear 02 sensor since I am running catless anyway? Do I need to wire the wideband into the rear 02 so I can datalog my wideband or how do you connect your wideband to your laptop?

Um just pull it. Drill a new hole and add a bolt and weld it in place for the sensor. You do not want to wire in something else to the o2 sensor. I did it for someone and it kept throwing o2 codes.

I've always wondered what wideband is exactly...

What brand wideband do you have? Anyway, there's usually a 0-5v wire that is used for this.

I am getting an AEM uego wideband and I figured out that you can take the blue datalog wire and wire that into a rs232 db9 female plug and I already have a serial port to usb converter and then I just plug that into my laptop and it is ready for datalogging.

By the way I only paid $140 for a basically brand new AEM uego wideband so I am happy about that.

Wideband really means how your o2 sensor works, so if you have a wideband o2 sensor it can read AFR extremely well. The other kind is Narrowband o2 sensors which doesnt work as well as the wideband. You can install a wideband without a gauge you just need a laptop to read it. But with the AEM uego gauge and wideband sensor you dont need a laptop to read it but you do need one to datalog with.

... most widebands COME with a new 02 sensor..... that's why they are so expensive.

I dont know I like the fact that you can see a live output all the time with the gauge.

In order to achieve the best reading with a wideband you will need to mount it approx 36" from the turbo outlet. You won't want to wire it into your stock 02, both serve their purpose. The ECU still needs to read from the factory 02, but you will be reading your wideband.
I also have an AEM Uego its a nice piece, I picked mine up brand new in the box with sensor, gauge, bung, and everything locally for 200.
If you are missing parts let me know I have a friend who can get really good deals on replacement parts.

^^cool, I only paid $140 for mine shipped to me. I am just going to wire the blue datalog wire into a DB9 female port on the #2 pin and you then ground the #5 pin then plug a serial port to usb adapater which I already have into the DB9 port and plug the usb into your laptop and you can now datalog with your wideband it is so simple. I am running catless so mine will be easily 36" away from the turbo because I am taking the stock 02 sensor out and putting the wideband in its place. I am definitely not going to wire it into my 02 sensor harness that would be dumb.
