All right so my car is making essentially a very quiet form of brake squeal, as i assume, constantly. The brakes aren't being applied or anything, but when i'm rolling around, i can hear this faint squeal. So any ideas as to what it could be? Sounds like its coming from the front, and definitely isn't constant.

Brake pads are supposed to squeal when the brake is NOT applied...... and the squeal generally goes away when the brake is applied.

Otherwise..... check and see if your dust shields got bent into your rotor slightly.

Coilovers squeak. They just do.

I'm gonna take a look at my pads, i have a feeling something fishy is up with them, but will check all of the rest of the suggestions.

Check your pads. I bent my brake heat shield putting on my coilovers, and it made this horrible skreeching noise so I doubt it's that. When I had a bad wheel bearing it didn't really sound like brakes, it was more of a rotating squeak.. not really sure how to describe haha

This is definitely a screach or squeal, not a squeak. And if it is a wheel bearing or a CV or something else thats gonna cost me some money (hopefully not), then i will be putting on my stock struts and driving the car straight to nate wade.

Apply your brakes see if it stops.
Or if your car manual, press the clutch pedal a little and see if it goes away.

I have the later of the two squeals.

Just pull all four wheels and put it on stands and do a third gear idle and let the clutch out and find that sucker! :) Or use a lift if it is to scary for you?
