Yeah well finances and my brother's unexpected constant use of his car is going to yield me driving my baby in the snow. I'm not happy about it, and a little scared. Bad things happened last year.

So are we all going to get together for a 'get your car ready for the snow' day?

Ughhh i forgot about the wintercross. It's on the fourteenth, right? I probably won't do it seeing as my car took a few hits with lap battle and i don't want to lose it completely. I'll tag along and keep people company in the corners....

Ate all the way through the rear pads, boiled fluid, unbalanced wheels, Fucked the tires, acquired some interesting new noises, the CV has gotten worse, and i'm just getting tired of dealing with it. Add to that, the fact that i have to swap out suspension, replace all of the fluids, blead and inspect the brakes, mount + balance a set of all seasons, drop the subframe for insert bushings, and knowing in the back of my mind that i'm going to blow a piston seal on these tiny brakes from over-heating them one-too-many times and end up in a gravel trap is weighing heavy on my initial belief that this car can become a fun, low stress, there-for-practice track car... It's simply not viable. Too heavy, too expensive, too small of brakes, too big of a car, and to fix any of that (besides the brakes) is going to cost me an arm and a leg, and render a $20k car applicably useless for anything besides track. And even then, it won't be all that competitive.

I can't wait for the snow to start sticking. I have my ski boots, and on Dec. 1st or thereabouts I will be putting the snow tires back on!

Then I'll be boosting on ice! YEAH!

i fell you. i wish i had a spec miata to race and a stock... maybe stage 2 wrx to dd. i'm too deep into this thing now though to go back or start over haha.

That's what i'm wrestling with right now. A BBK is going to start putting me in the realm of no return. I may just get a miata or an older s2k and racerize it...
