^^^ I hope so.... they "should" be.

With that though.... I really had no chance of being competitive in the snow with my stockers..... so I'm not sure if I'll try it again.

But if the track is clear.... I'm all over it :)

Sucks that this happened matt, but now just get it powder coated and be done with it.

Wait.... is that THIS Saturday, Feb 13th???

Or the following Saturday?

I'll be in St. Louis this weekend. Lance will have these things all weekend powdercoating while I'm out of town.

i used the VHT high temp red paint for my calipers. painted on with a brush, i guess two and a half coats, enough to get a good thick coat everywhere. no clear. no chips. no fade. its still shiny and looks smooth as hell. its not smooth, but that's just because the caliper was sort of textured. they get dirty and look faded, but i wipe my finger over them and it looks like i JUST painted them. it could have def been the clear. when i painted the raised subaru logo on my centercaps, i waited a hour for the last coat to dry. when i sprayed the first coat of clear, with in seconds, the red "melted" like i was using brake caliper cleaner paint thinner...so three are a little blurry, and the last one doesn't have any clear coat on it...just red paint pen lol:)

Well, the VHT looked good, but chipped easily. I'm glad they are going in for powdercoating.

The brembos came apart really nicely as well..... those things were mint. I could still read the word "brembo" on the dustcaps.... so they aren't going to need a rebuild either :)

You're going to want to rebuild both sets of them. Especially if you plan on running big track.

^^^ I may...... both sets of calipers came apart and looked like new though.

I'll give it a shot... see how they feel. Each piston is only $10 or $12 each for a new seal/dust cap. If I do end up neededing a rebuild, it's not that big of a deal. No sense doing it if I don't have to though.

I would strongly suggest rebuilding them before they touch the car. They may appear to be okay, but i wouldn't trust the paint on my car, nor on my wheels to them, especially when $100 could keep **** from hitting the fan. Things could get really bad when that caliper hits 1300*, and if a seal completely goes, you, your car, and other peoples' cars/ lives could be placed in unreasonably high risk. Seriously? It's a hundred bucks. To me, that's worth KNOWING instead of GUESSING.
