Well the SM4 (Street Mod 4) and RM4 (Rally Mod 4) are classes used in the FRX (Formula Rallycross) series in Cali and since John (rally director) is in cahootz with the Cali boys he decided to adopt the Street Mod classes so anybody with a heavily modded car and street tires can compete in a class with similar cars so the cars with rally tires aren't anhialating them. Basically he figured there were people out there with heavily modded cars and no rally tires that weren't racing because they figured the rally tire equipped cars in there class were gonna be faster so they don't even bother. Like STI's for instance, rarely do you see a stock class STI that wants to race. Well most of them would be in prepared but since they need to brake swap to fit rally tires they won't be much competition for a car with rally tires. So now the SM4 class allows them to race against like vehicles for more equal competition.

I hope that makes sense??? I reread it and am not totally convinced myself. Lol....

But basically it is a newly adopted class from the FRX series, hence why it is not in the SCCA rulebook.

Anyone want to meet up at RMR and cruise out to MMP together? I'll be out there around 7:45ish and hang out for a few if anyone wants to meet up.

Not sure where RMR is? I'm coming from the North so it might be out of the way for me.

RMR is right off 21st south freeway and about 6500 W. If your coming from the North though your probably gonna take I-80 but if you want to meet up just go a little further to 201 (21st south freeway) and get off Bangerter highway and take the south frontage road west about 5 minutes.
