Ya I'll be in stock class. I just had to swap out my shifter for a stock one and I need to swap my intake back to stock. Other than that though my car is stock class ready. I figure no use getting raped in Prepared just for an intake that couldn't help my 1.8 if its life depended on it. Lol...

Ahh **** my ****. I was all exicted to go this weekend and I just found out I have a battle drill with the army. Bummer. Well I do get to play paintball, so it makes up for the rally a wittle bit.

Kevin that puts you in the same class as me. You can run either prepared or Street Mod 4 because I don't think you're running rally tires. I'm in SM4 and it varrys from being our largest class to out smallest

^^^ya i havent really looked into the Mod classes yet, i only browsed the 3 scca classes to see where i fit in there. If the other class is a better fit then maybe ill hop in there. Im sure they can give me some good advice at registration if i show up early enough

What mods do you have? And unless you can get in stock I would run in SM4 unless you have rally tires.

i thought i read that prepared allowed any tires besides rally tires and that awd modified is the one that allowed rally tires. Just wrx brakes, wheels, snow tires, springs and catback

Prepared can run rally tires. Thats why Josh is saying SM4 might be a better class for you cause the cars with rally tires in Prepared (Travis, Carl, etc.) typically run a bit faster. If you didn't have the springs you could probably get away with running stock class with me.

Yeah I would do SM4. That's what Josh and I are in.

Classes (with each having awd, fwd, or rwd)
stock: everything stock but no rally tires
prepared: some limited mods + rally tires
street mod: all the mods you want but no rally tires
mod: all the mods you want + rally tires

I have a set of rally tires but I think I'll stick with my snow tires and SM4, because hopefully later on there will be snow on top of the parking lot and I'll be running snow tires then anyway.

your brakes and springs will put you out of stock. Street mod would be best for you. Ross what kind of rally tires did you get and did you notice alot of difference at nationals

I'm gonna be running SM4 now also. My car is a turd without my intake on it. I couldn't believe how much slower it was!

I noticed some difference with rally tires, better traction, especially coming out of corners and being able to stop quicker.

So looks like at least four of us in SM4?

ya i was reading through the scca classing rulebook so thats why i put myself in prepared because of my brakes and wheels. The street mod class wasnt in there and must be a URG thing
