Started out as a pretty cold day (17 F). But we went out anyway. At first we thought we were trailing a bear, but to our surprise when we got to the tree we had a yearling mountain lion. So I took a few pics and a couple videos that I might post later. Towards the end of the day our road was overrun with turkeys. Great day seeing many wildlife.

Turkeys...can't wait till Thanksgiving

Some of the pics didn't turn out that great, because some dumby was shooting in sport mode and not AV mode.

It's cool, but you sure as hell couldn't get me to stand around it... Large carnivorous mammals are at the top of the food chain for a reason lol, and i can barely handle my cat named tony who is, in the cat world, morbidly obese.

^^it was only a yearling. They aren't very big, I think this one was as big as some of the dogs we had, but they do get bigger. Hopefully I can catch one that is twice that size...lol...plus there more scared of you anyway. Here are a few more pics also.

We had to hike through that to get to the dang cat

Image

The dogs trailed the cat along the top of this ridge. We watched the whole thing from the road. Luckily the dogs caught it at the bottom so I wouldn't have to hike my sorry but up that thing.

Image

This is a video. We were in the tree with the cat, that's why it was hissing at us. You may have to click it a few times to get it to work..I did

And loves every minute of it!
I know the feeling of running into a cat.. kinda crazy! :) Nothing like running into a grizz up in Montana though. I wish I would have had my camera like you did..

I really like all the pics man by the way! :dancing2:

Just pics. No guns involved. None of us on the hunt had a tag anyway. We were just getting the dogs back into shape.

Nice video! Definitely very cool! I ran into one last year with my car when I lived in Montana. A small female. It sucked, but luckily it didnt do too much damage. Just the valence under the engine and loosened the bumper a tad.Image
