People are getting pissed.

The goal of this club is to create an environment based on the ENTHUSIAST..... not an advertising campaign solely interested in making money. Most of our members came from NASIOC, and are dual members (including myself) and I like to think it's because this site is better, with friendlier mods, bigger/better meets, and a more pleasant atmosphere.

But this rivalry is just getting old. Admittedly, I'm largely at fault.

We want more people to join...... and we want our meets to get bigger..... but that isn't going to happen if the die-hard RMIC members are convinced we're all a-holes.

RMIC is always welcome at our meets..... ANYONE with a Subaru is... even folks that don't have Subarus are welcome.

But with that, please do not advertise our meets on the RMIC anymore.... they just end up getting deleted anyway. In all actuality, I can understand the RMICs frustration..... they are a corporation... they specialize in advertising, and many companies rely on them to get their advertising out there...... so if you think about it...we are taking money away from them. Not to mention.... our meets are bigger, better organized, and generally more successful.

Perhaps they should consider some sort of "sensitivity training" for their moderators???

But until then.... encourage your friends to sign in and join the club.... that's what we want. But let RMIC keep doing their "taco Tuesday" thing, or whatever else they do...... And we'll do our own thing as well, ok?? The Subaru community is a close-knit one, and the RMIC guys will know about our meets, and will be encouraged to attend.

Sorry I had to do this...... but fueling a rivalry isn't doing anyone any good..... them or us.

Same here! I wanted a local forum! I used to be on utahstangs.org when I had my mustang and loved it over any other forum that had to do with mustangs!
