how to do clear headlights

i came across this forum posting someone put up. Props to whoever took the time and effort on this because i helped me out a bunch. It shows you how to remove the amber lenses from your head lights with step by step instructions and pics. The posting is for an 04-05 wrx sti.. but i think the same steps apply for most years.. here is the link!

it was a good days work, probably 4 or 5 hours, but i was taking it real slow so i didnt mess anything up... it could probably be done a lot quicker. This biggest pain was finding a light to put in place of the amber one lol.. So i came across blue and spraypainted it silver... we will see how long that lasts :twisted:

i want to do this tho my head lights but i want to also paint the housing black? what would be the best method to do this? what paint?
