Tip for lowering

we had a training class at work the other day and we were talking about doing alignments and whatnot and lowered cars were mentioned. To make a long story short when lowering a car (be it with springs or coilovers) you run the risk of binding up your control arm bushings so after the car is lowered and sitting with the full weight of the car on the wheels, crawl underneath and loosen up all bolts on the control arm bushings and then retighten allowing the car to settle properly. You will not only drastically prolong the life of said bushings, but will also let your car sit lower as the bushings are not bound and holding the car up higher than it's supposed to be. well I finally got around to doing this and it did give me about an extra 1/4" drop (roughly) but as previously stated, the main idea here is to extend the life of your control arm bushings.

nope, no problems whatsoever. I really like them because they're not uberlow so i don't scrape or rub really. I was also pleasantly surprised how near to stock the ride...barely any change in ride quality over normal bumps and whatnot. The only time they feel significantly stiffer is over big bumps where alot of suspension travel is used.

Yeah when I loosened a couple bolts you could see it release the tension in it.
