ok well i got my side markers, niteshaded them and clear coated them, they do look nice but kind of a purple color
thats ok for the sides, but i was planning on doing my taillights as well
but since they turned out "purple", i am thinking of going another route
ive been looking on headlightarmor.com at their pre cut kits
just wondering if they are easy to put on

but my main concern is, how many of you actually get hassled by the cops for having tinted tail lights? i know they are illegal, but i see them literally everywhere, not just on subies

you don't see them on subaru's because all the money is contributed to the USARA, also known as the United States of America Rice Association. :D

when i had it on my old audi, i didnt get haggled for a year, then in one month i got pulled over like 3 times so its just randomness

where did you get your tint overlay from for your audi?
and did you put it on yourself?

i've been wanting to do the same to my tail lights. i can't decide though, i really like the 06/07 tails but can't find any for a decent price or even at all.

but on the tint, i think if its not that dark then you don't get to much trouble but it doesn't look that good in my opinion. if you want it to look good it has to be really dark to cover up the red for the most part. just my opinion though

i put tinted taillight assemblies on my vw when i got it and the only hassle from the cops for it was when the bulbs went out on them. had that car nearly a year.

that doesn't depress me:) now i have someone to talk to about mods and if he gets some how he likes them and if i get some how i like them
btw, falkon, get a rear sway bar STAT. night and day difference...thanks to brian for that experience.

and to contribute to the thread, i film tinted the blinker and reverse on my taillights and have been pulled over since, but not for the tails and the cop didn't harrass me about them. sane for my audi, i tinted the whole tail on it and never got bothered.
