Rally Cross this Saturday. Come drive and have a ton of fun. Or just come spectate and there will be plenty of drivers willing to let you ride shotgun.

Copied from the Utah SCCA website:

2009 RallyCross Event "Casa Cristo 5000"

Image

The URG (Utah Rally Group) is proud to present the July 2009 SCCA Utah Region RallyCross event "Casa Cristo 5000". It will be held at the Jordan River OHV Park on July 18th. Registration will be open from 8:00am to 9:30am, the driver's meeting will be at 9:45am, with first car running at 10:00am. The event usually goes until mid to late afternoon, with each competitor being given six runs.

All competitors must have and show a current valid drivers license(their own), and all cars (fixed-roof production based, including convertibles with a factory hardtop attached and targa or t-top types with factory panel(s) in place) must be able to pass technical inspection. Helmets are required and must meet Snell 1995 (SA95, M95, or K98) or newer labeled helmets are approved for use. For those without a proper helmet, a few loaners are available.

Entry fees are
$30 for SCCA Members
$45 for Non-SCCA Members (the extra $15 will be credited towards an SCCA membership if you join within a month or so of the event)

(Join the SCCA Today!: http://www.scca.com/joinnow.aspx )

It was a fun day of rally cross but very hot. I went through a lot of bottles of water. Some of the cars' engines got a little hot but mine seemed to do okay (cooling a 137 horsepower car can't be that hard). And yes I'll be sure to post the next event's date a little earlier, then none of you will have an excuse not to be there.

I only got pics of a couple cars because I was either driving or working the starting line.
