When I say "JDM", think "Just Did it Myself".

I've been thinking about redoing my interior for a more black-n-gold, kinda classy feel to it, and I have been mulling over this thought for a long time.....I was wondering what you guys think on this one? I would like to make a monogram-Louis-Vuitton-esque stencil pattern with the Subaru logo, and paint the interior trim accordingly. I was thinking about it like this....remove the trim pieces, and paint them all gold chrome. Afterward, having a vinyl that was made in the pattern placed across the dried and cleared gold, then painting plasti-dip over the whole thing. After drying and curing, pull the stickers, and have a nice looking set of gold Subaru monograms on a black, semi-flat background.

Think something like that, but with black instead of white, gold instead of blue, and Subaru emblems instead of the PF and monkey.

Those of you who don't give a flying crap about doing custom interior work, please don't comment. Only those interested in restyling their interior need respond. Looking for constructive input. :)

Granted, the boat will be one of those party decks, which is basically a dance floor welded to some 55 gallon drums (leftovers from Steve's dyno that weren't round enough), but it's easier to get 3 dozen bitchez n hoez onto.

No kidding. I am just not sure quite how to implement the idea...

The hardest part would be removing the vinyl under the plasti-dip without removing the plastidip around the vinyl also. Its some pretty strong stuff. I think the idea would look really cool though :)
