Ok I know our cars burn oil, but mine is burning 1/2 - 3/4 of a quart every few weeks. Do you guys think somethin could be wrong? Or is something going out?

02 wrx, stock just intake exhaust and tune
using mobil 1 full synthetic 5w-30

Try using a different oil next change. I hear that mobil 1 sometimes doesn't play nice with subies...

turbos do burn oil, but that sounds like too much, definitely sounds like something could be wrong

Turbo seals? Most likely compressor seals since you dont see oil burning.
Motor is finally getting tired?
Maybe something wrong with PCV system?

Have you looked in the oil breather lines that are attached onto the inter cooler? Some oil in there is normal, but if there is a lot that could be part of your problem. Also look at your PCV valve and if its covered in grime and oil you might want to look into cleaning it or replacing it because its possible it could be clogged. A catch can or something of the sort would help out to see how much oil you are using unless its all going out of the exhaust.

Youll always get a little oil in the intercooler regardless.
