Found this in my SVX forum:

Not sure how much validity it has.... seems kinda scary though.

Haha I love my bc coils, but I have the new ones not the old red and black ones, those might even be megans (same company though). I have had zero problems with them so far, I have a one year warranty and after that if I need a rebuild or something they only charge like 95 for a completely new coil or something around that. Also, if he had his ride height adjusted super high and didn't tighten down the bottom locker ring that will happen. I'm not saying it should've, but i've seen all sorts of problems with a bunch of different coils. Just the other day, somebody posted up over on nasioc and the bottom bracket that holds the camber bolts completely broke off at the welds on their tein flex's. Tein completely replaced it though. I doubt bc will do anything for him if his ride height was super high and his bottom locker ring was loose though.

Tein has issued a recall for pre-05 flexs for bracket replacement. They have acknowledged the the issue. But tein has been around a lot longer, and buys the cars to do the research on the geometry and design...

^^ I totally agree tein is a great company, as I said they replaced that guys coilover the day after he called them with the issue. I was just sayin it could happen to anyone, that's all.

I do hear good things about BC's, but i figured that for such a new chassis, i want to spend the money to make sure there are no "bugs" to work out...

^^ for sure I know exactly what you're sayin, there isn't much risk going with a legit company like tein who has been around for quite a while
