i know that subaru will have their version of the ft-86 but i think its going to be a lot different looks wise.
i think its going to be something shaped a little more like the bmw x6...a 3G sti styled front end with a 08/09/10 sedan rear.

would they put working 08/09 taillights on over the ft-86's? plus, pictures of the new toyota are already out, why cover it up?
i'm sure the engine/drivetrain will be the same, but the look of the car is going to be totally different from the ft-86.

^^^ It looks like the suspension has been VASTLY improved. See how twitchy it gets under full lateral g? No stock car subaru has ever produced would handle that kind of major correction in a turn and not wallow and understeer afterwards. It has some serious potential man...

The coupe will probably be badged a Toyota in Japan and a Subaru in the rest of the world. Model names are still unknown, but it has leaked out that the engine will be a 2.0-liter boxer engine with about 220 horsepower. It will send power to the rear wheels through a six-speed gearbox. Together with its low weight, it's likely the new coupe will be a drift-happy toy--but there's still no word on whether Subaru will also offer a four-wheel-drive version that would be a spiritual successor of its wacky SVX coupe.

The engine which was previously speculated to be a 2.0-litre turbo warrior making about 118kW (160hp). Indeed it is the revised 2.0-litre turbo from moreover the Impreza 2.0 GT or the WRX STI. However, energy is rumoured to be around 184kW (250hp) with a probable STI type making 227kW (308hp).

Subaru will advance vastness the 216A from the FT-86 through signature styling elements (as offered in these comedian renderings), longer and wider dimensions and an farther 100kg in mass.
